Leif’s Auto Centers Consumer Alert

Leif’s is noticing an increased level of used car buyers getting burned by fake car owners that are selling totaled, salvaged and unsafely repaired vehicles. Be aware that CARFAX and other reporting websites are not catching all vehicles that have been wrecked and/or totaled. Make sure you never pay cash, confirm that the seller’s driver’s license matches the title and check the title with DMV to ensure that there isn’t a salvage branding in progress and always have a mechanic and body shop do an inspection. Please view the video below with KATU AM Northwest and Leif. We are seeing fake airbags, missing frame pieces along with various other hidden cost cutting dangerous repairs. In most states, including Oregon, there is no auto repair certification, regulation or licensing to fix cars.

How Are We Doing?

Claims Advocacy

Large insurance corporations have all the power. As consumers, we can’t stop the insurance abuses without bringing our voices together, and using the power of the media, government and the courts to stop it
