Volkswagen unveiled a hover car procured through the
crowd-sourced Peoples Car Project in Beijing, Gizmag
reports.
According to the publication, Volkswagens unique project
inspired 33 million website visitors and 119,000 ideas for possible products
and new technologies.
The vehicle, which brings memories of The Jetsons hover car
highways, not only brings a futuristic element to its design it elevates a
discourse between consumer and auto manufacturer. We are no longer just
building cars for, but also with customers, Luca de Meo, VWs marketing
director, told Gizmag. At the same time (were) initiating a national dialogue
which gives us a deep insight into the design preferences, needs and requirements
of Chinese customers.
