Future of cars: Enabling the blind to drive

This video from Google shows what quite possibly is the future of cars: The driver-less auto.

 

Steve Mahan, who says in the clip he is 95 percent blind, gets behind the wheel to take a trip to Taco Bell for a bite to eat.

 

“Where this would change my life,” Mahan says, “is to give me the independence and the flexibility to go to the places I both want to go and need to go.”
