Chrysler recalls nearly 10,000 Dodge Charger police vehicles

Chrysler is recalling nearly 10,000 2011-’12 Dodge Charger
police vehicles for two problems, Edmunds
reports
.

According to the report, an overheated bulb harness
connector could lead to headlamp failure, while other vehicles’ anti-lock
brakes system may fail due to an overheated power distribution center.

“This could lead to loss of visibility and/or braking
ability, increasing the risk of a crash,” the NHTSA told Edmunds.

So far, there haven’t been any reports of accidents,
injuries or fires related to the defects.

Owners can contact Chrysler at (800) 853-1403, or NHTSA at
(888) 327-4236. They can also go to www.safercar.gov for more information.
