Loaners
At Leifs, we understand that you may need a loaner to drive while your vehicle is being repaired. If you find yourself in this situation give us a call at 503-620-5343, and we'll put the wheels in motion to find you alternative transportation while we are repairing your vehicle.
Our Loaner Policy is as follows:
1. Loaners are available for our customers who make arrangements with us
on or before the day your vehicle is dropped off. We cover the costs of
loaners only after the costs of repairs have been negotiated and
approved with the insurer or party paying the bill. Costs are covered for
up to two business days after your vehicle is physically done.
2. Loaners are available for our customers who:
A. Do not have rental coverage.
B. Do not have an insurance company or third party legally or ethically
responsible for paying for the transportation.
3. Loaners are only available for pre-loss collision repairs and cannot be
combined with any other offers or discounts.
Repairing vehicles includes many variables outside of our control that greatly contribute to the amount of time it will be in the shop. Parts delays, insurance company delays, outside vendor delays, and additional hidden damage delays are a few examples of those outside of our control.
We are not responsible for problems that may occur when insurers or third parties who are legally or ethically responsible for transportation costs deny coverage at any point. We strongly encourage our customers to track all repairs to help argue any rental coverage denials. We are seeing certain adjusters (approximately 5% of adjusters) who are illegally denying coverage. The Insurance Commissioner will not help. We can recommend good lawyers who can help you if this happens.
