	Here at Leifs we have heard of an Insurance Company stating the term Usual and Customary a lot lately and we are here to show you what we have found to be Usual and Customary from "direct repair / Insurance contracted" shops. This one is another example of total disregard to customer safety. Another example of "Usual and Customary"? We think so. Click on the picture to see how bad this repair was done.
	This is a insurance company directed repair, that was performed by a Portland area leading repair shop.. This customer was directed to the repair shop and after the repairs were completed he found things that just were not right. When he questioned the insurance company he was told to take it back to the repair shop. When they had done all that they would for this customer he came to Leif's. Look inside to see some of what we saw.
	This is a insurance company directed repair, that was performed by a Portland area dealership repair shop. We see lots of sub-standard repairs like these every week comming out of DRP (direct repair programs) repair shops. This Portland area customer never even knew (other than the leaks) what they received. More of the "they won't know" repairs that diminish your safety and value. When measured this vehicle still has frame damage.
	This insurance company directed, repaired vehicle's front end structure, that was repaired in the Portland area. Not only was this consumer told to use this repair shop, but also paid them to do these repairs. Then it came in to our shop due to concerns from the owner, this vehicle was totaled by the insurance company due to the UNSAFE condition of the frame. We see lots of sub-standard repairs like these every week comming out of DRP (direct repair programs).
	Here again we find another leading DRP shop doing repairs that were so badly done that when in another collision caused this vehicle to be totaled due to the prior repair. These repair shops and insurance company's know these repairs are not returning your vehicle to "pre-loss" condition by "industry repair standards" but keep right on doing it anyway. And who ends up with the loss of value? You guessed it ... you do.
	Here is another look at the auto body repair quality in the Oregon / Washington area. Event the small repairs seem to have been ending up a little short.
